Peri Zee found to be Breaking Election Rules.
Yet only had to make a private apology.
We believe in transparancy, accountability and honesty.
We believe other candidates need to be made aware of this also so they know what the potential consequences are of these types of rule breaches.
Concerns raised with Electionz.com about Peri's campaign material and the email trail between us and Warwick Lampp (Electionz) regarding the breaches we raised.
Potential consequenses according to the Act and campaign handbook is up to $40,000 or up to 2 years in prison.

We are unsure if Peri has been transparent and accountable on her Facebook page as we are currently blocked. As an advocate of transparency and accountability we believe she should be sharing this so the community can make informed decisions.
After raising some questions with the candidate on her facebook page, unrelated to this, we were blocked from the candidates "for mayor" page and all comments deleted. Here is the email trail between us and the candidate.
Remembering this candidate has expressed many times her experience within many areas and has an experienced team behind her such as Ros Connolly (UH Councillor - Greater Wellington Recional Council)
Do you believe that Peri in the space of over a year has been able to read and follow the candidate rules set out for Local Elections? At what level does it need to have public apology or public knowledge as Warwick Lampp did not seem concerned regarding this?
Background
So the Local Elections are underway. The candidates are finalised and we now get to listen to them as they all try and gain our votes.
On the 14th July we attended the Upper Hutt Council Candidates Information Session which was presented by Warwick Lampp from Electionz.com who are charged with running the election for Upper Hutt City and many others around the country.
At this information session Mr Lampp was very strong on the rules that needed to be followed and that there were quite serious consequences for such breaches.
Subsequent to this information session and after having a good read of the candidate handbook we noticed that there we some things which weren’t adding up.
So we raised concerns with Electionz who run the election on behalf of the council, rergarding treating (Giving things away) and lack of authorisation on campaign material.
Shared Directory of candidate items we raised concerns about.
