Carson being Carson 2024/2025

"A series of heated emails between councillors since Friday included allegations some were derelict in their duties, failed to pay attention, and an email from Ray Chung to fellow councillor John Apanowicz asked, "Are all bean counters as stroppy as you?." We here in Upper Hutt would have to say yes, we have a stroppy bean counter in council too..
Here is our resident UHCC "Bean Counter", Chartered Accountant, Chris Carson with a few of his "stroppy" hits.
2024
- Carson doing a Carson on Paul Fabian's submission of the petition against the rates. (His question was a mute point as it makes no difference ratepayer or not according to the councils standing orders, and as a Chartered Accountant you would think he could get numbers right. 2225 signatures not 225 signatures and would know section 17 of the councils standing orders and allow the submitter/public member to finish answering the question)
- Carson doing a Carson ranting with Ashley Gibson. So much so the Mayor has to step in and ask him to stop.
Calm and order does not seem to be the case here. Why does the Mayor not calm the situation and a heated Cr Carson and allow the member of Public answer Cr Carsons question?
- Carson doing a Carson with Ashok Jacob from PSA when he has made a submission on behalf of staff. Which when furthered looked into Carson was incorrect in his allegation's. Not the PSA in the wrong. Obviously accounts eye for details is not what we perceived it be lol
2025
- Cr Carson challenging the minutes around his conflict of interest and stating its my conflict, not yours.
- After declaring a conflict of interest which requires him to remove himself from the meeting Cr Carson returned to the meeting and objecting to a late paper which had been tabled by the CEO.
- Cr Carson returning to the meeting and collecting his gear and removing himself from the meeting all together.
