Are rate payers funding Guildford's get rich plan?

Questions ...... Are rate payers funding what I would call Guildford's get rich plan? Driven by some members of UHCC council? Hence my article, as from where I sit it appears so.

Let's start a conversation and get some context to why I believe this.

Let's time travel back 15 years when, I understand, Guildford's Pinehaven Subdivision development wasn't economically viable due to the massive costs of infrastructure.

Infrastructure cost in my opinion would be triple now to what they were 15 years ago. I'm sure we are all aware that infrastructure costs have gone up and it is more then likely much more expensive now than 15 years ago.

According to this presentation, it seems like GTC are trying to sneak in the Infrastructure costs under the council expenditure. Hence "Guildford's get rich plan"

I suggest you watch this video if you haven't as it will give you some insight to what's going on with your Council and it's just the tip of the iceberg, because, It seems, this has this been going on for decades along with other developments, maybe we need to take closer look at other developments.

Council committing millions to support GTC's proposed development.

If GTC's proposed development doesn't go ahead $60m down the tubes from over engineered Pinehaven water infrastructure

Submitters have indicated that our Mayor was neighbours with the owner of Guildford, this brings into question why some Councillors brought up being left out of "The S chemozzle". Again this correspondence between Gilford and UHCC CEO Geoff Swainson and Mayor Wayne Guppy is of concern to me.

DATING?

The last submitter makes accusations of council withholding critical information from hearing commissioners in this Guildford plan change, as well as using flawed flood maps, if these accusations are true and can be proved, then I believe what council is doing is illegal.

Possible route rate payers could take, if we can prove a member of council has been dishonest, I believe Councillors are also individuals and hold no power outside of the Council Chambers and are directly responsible for their actions, and can be prosecuted by the courts. But we would need a legal opinion on the above if this true an correct.

This Post is based on my opinion, and I can't verify all the statements made by others, but it's worth a conversation.

Council has refused to give rate payers any details, on the reasons why a massive increase in rates is necessary in the next 3 years.
